Looking for new hobby that will increase your fitness? At Halla Le Chéile there is an indoor handball alley that can be used for both Racquetball and Handball. Both have proven to improve mental skills and fitness. This fantastic facility is available to everyone .
Racquetball is a fast paced sport played with standardised equipment with specific court dimensions worldwide. The sport which was invented by Joe Sobeck in the United States became popular during the late 1970’s and early 1980’s because it was fun, easy to learn how to play and it is one of the best workouts you can get in a short period of time. Racquetball can be played either on an indoor or outdoor court with anywhere from 2 to 4 players at a time. There are various governing bodies for the sport that provide on-going leadership worldwide. There is a strong tradition of winning Racquetball players from Cloghane and Brandon. If you would like to know more about the rules and how you can get involved on a national level please follow the https://www.racquetball.ie/
Handball is a fast paced, highly skillful, hugely entertaining, and fully inclusive sport. The fitness benefits of the game are vast. Speed, agility, endurance, flexibility, and bilateral coordination all come in to play in the sport that once you play for the first time, you wont ever want to stop. But what makes this game so great is that all you require to play is a ball and a wall…..it’s really that simple! www.gaahandball.ie.
